The Growing CUHK-Shenzhen
The first phase of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen is divided into three parts: upper, middle and lower campus. The campus reflects both Chinese elements and Western charm, showing the concepts of "mountain, tree and courtyard". Mountain: Retaining the mountain and respecting the ecology; Tree: The cross-shaped teaching buildings are built along Longxiang Avenue, forming a semi-transparent barrier that filters the busyness of the road and the city and thus leaving a tranquil atmosphere with trees and hills. Courtyard: The buildings have created a lot of humanized yard space, extending the greenery of the central axis to the buildings, and providing a comfortable space for teachers and students to rest. Academic forums are held on the grass slopes; conversations keep going under the trees. Students can experience the academic freedom in nature.
The Upper Campus mainly includes supporting facilities such as Diligentia College, Muse College, staff quarters and service centers while the Lower Campus includes an administrative building, a library, teaching buildings, laboratory buildings, conference halls, indoor sports fields, student centers and Shaw College.
With the change of season and perspectives, the new campus always leaves us with new impressions. Let's follow the camera to see the extrodinary views of CUHK-Shenzhen!
