The Award for Ethics in Teaching 2020
The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen bestowed the Award for Ethics in Teaching in October 2020. The ceremony was held on 14 October 2020. Vice-President Prof Zhu Shiping and Mr. Yuen Kin Chung, Associate Vice-Presidents (AVPs) Prof Cai Xiaoqiang, Prof Gu Yang and Prof Li Xuejin attended the ceremony. The ceremony was chaired by Prof Li Lan, Director of CLEAR.

The six award winners are Assistant Professor Yang Shijie and Dr. Sun Cong of School of Economics and Management, Associate Professor Simon Pan of School of Science and Engineering, Professor Sui Yun and Dr. Gong Wengao of School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Professor Huang Hsienda of School of Life and Health Sciences.
The University launched the first scheme to award the excellence in teaching ethics in 2020, with the aim to promote professionalism and ethics, and to respond to the call for promoting teaching ethics by the Guangdong government. The selection criteria are: loving the country, abiding by the law, observing academic norms, devoting to teaching profession, enlightening youngsters, caring for students, and setting up a role model. The nominations were made by the schools and the University Selection Committee decided to award the above six teachers.
