The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen - White Matrix Joint Metaverse Laboratory was established in May 2021. The joint laboratory is led by Prof. Wei Cai from CUHK-Shenzhen, and Mr. Wu Xiao, CEO of White Matrix, is serving as the deputy director. The joint laboratory will conduct in-depth research collaboration through joint postgraduate students training in the fields of Metaverse, Decentralized Finance (DeFi)， Game Finance (GameFi), User-Generated Content (UGC), AI-Generated Content (AIGC), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), etc. The joint laboratory will undertake external scientific research projects and apply for scientific research funding, focus on problem orientation, and solve important problems in the field of blockchain and human-computer interaction. The ultimate goal is to build a world-class innovation academia-industry research center.
