Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Pattern Analysis and Perceptual Computing
Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Pattern Analysis and Perceptual Computing aims to study the cutting-edge technology of pattern analysis and perceptual computing, and promote the development of related industry in Shenzhen. Adhere to the philosophy of ‘Theory leads technology, technology promotes application, application support industry’, the key laboratory will explore the theory and core technology of pattern recognition, and promote the development of perceptual computing and its application.
The key laboratory is led by Professor David ZHANG, Fellow of Royal Society of Canada and Fellow of Canadian Academy of Engineering, Presidential Chair Professor at CUHK-Shenzhen, Shenzhen High-Level Professionals. The senior members of the key laboratory including 1 academician, 2 associate professors, 2 assistant professors, 1 research assistant professor and 5 research assistants.
The key laboratory will set up two research directions: pattern analysis and perceptual computing. For pattern analysis, while focusing on basic theories, the key laboratory will conduct in-depth research on prominent issues at the forefront of pattern analysis such as computational models, data integration and learning methods. For perceptual computing, the laboratory will comprehensively improve the accuracy of the algorithm in the development of related intelligent systems and the robustness and privacy of applications based on the research on the basic algorithm and the completeness issues of perceptual computing.
