Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Joint University Laboratory of special robots for urban infrastructure maintenance
Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Joint University Laboratory of special robots for urban infrastructure maintenance is established by the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen and the Hong Kong Productivity Council, which is based on one research institute and two research platforms respectively, the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) Institute of Robotics and Intelligent Manufacturing (January 2016), the National and Local Joint Engineering Laboratory of Robotics and Intelligent Manufacturing (March 2015).The teams in this laboratory mainly focuses on urban infrastructure operation and maintenance special robots, including bridge inspection and maintenance robots, water surface robots, underwater robots, mountain forest robots, etc. Focusing on the development planning and industrial layout of Guangdong Province, the laboratory will be able to provide key technical support for the development of the robot industry in Guangdong Province to solve the bottleneck problem of core technology, with a good radiation driving role.
