Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Crowd Intelligence Empowered Low-Carbon Energy Network focuses on the distributed energy network and studies multi-source carbon data perception and its data fusion methods. Based on this, it explores the low-carbon operation and optimization control of energy networks on the power side, grid side, user side and collaborative side under the goal of "double carbon". Taking into account the market mechanism of green electricity market, carbon market, data market and their diverse fusion, it analyzes their economic system and benefits in depth. The key laboratory will actively explore and study related original advanced technologies and contribute to the development of Shenzhen in related fields.

The director of the key laboratory is Professor Jianwei Huang (Associate Vice President and Presidential Chair Professor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen). All permanent researchers are full-time faculty members of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, including professors, associate professors, assistant professors and researchers, etc., all of whom have doctoral degrees and 100% have working  or research experience at top international universities. In terms of talent team building, with the support of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, a reasonable structure of scientific research, technical support and management personnel will be established, positions will be set up according to needs, reasonable flow and gather first-class students to cultivate high-level innovative talents at the same time.
