On Saturday Morning, Oct.14, Professor Shouwu Zhang,mathematician, Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and professor of Mathematics at Princeton University will delievered a themed speech on "Diophantine Geometry: All of Our Yesterday".
In this lecture, Professor Zhang will discuss the origin and development of Diophantine geometry in popular language. All are welcome.

Speaker Profile

Shouwu Zhang is a Chinese-American mathematician, a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, a fellow of the American Mathematical Society, and currently teaches at Princeton University. He received his master's degree from the Institute of Mathematics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1986 and his doctorate degree from Columbia University in 1991. After graduation, he held faculty positions at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, Columbia University, and Princeton University.
Zhang has made significant achievements in the field of number theory and algebraic geometry, and has received several international awards, including the Sloan Research Fellowships, Morningside Medal of Mathematics, and the Guggenheim Fellowship.
