Post Specification
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Respond to hotline calls and emails on a rotational basis, handling inquiries and feedback promptly and professionally.
2. Assist in drafting and editing external correspondence and documents in both Chinese and English.
3. Organize research and innovation lectures for the Graduate School.
4. Coordinate the Graduate Research Forum.
5. Collaborate with the Seventh College to prepare for the Graduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.
6. Liaise with CUHK and assist in organizing student activities.
7. Act as the main point of communication with the Graduate Student Union, facilitating their activities and initiatives.
8. Coordinate the selection process for outstanding graduate students and serve as the secretary for related work.
9. Handle visa matters for international students and doctoral programs in cooperation with CUHK.
10. Provide support related to student employment and further education, coordinate with relevant offices, and compile necessary data.
11. Perform additional tasks assigned by Deans, School Manager, senior staff or higher-level personnel as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Proficient in English, with strong reading, writing and speaking skills; able to communicate effectively with international students.
2. Strong communication skills, capable of working with schools/ units and coordinating with international institutions.
3. With 3 years’ relevant working experience; Prior experience in schools or foreign enterprises is preferred.
4. Experience in organizing or participating in large-scale activities or international academic conferences.
5. Familiarity with financial budgeting, reimbursement procedures, and procurement processes.
6. Skilled in writing documents in both Chinese and English.
7. Detail-oriented, responsible, patient, able to work with a strong sense of service and team spirit.
8. Adept at interacting with postgraduate and doctoral students, adaptable to different situations, and capable of handling emergencies.
9. Highly efficient, with the ability to complete tasks assigned by senior staff or higher-level personnel in a timely manner.
Salary and Benefits
Salary will be competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointments will be made under the establishment of CUHK-SZ and statutory benefits will be provided according to the prevailing labor laws applicable in the PRC. The appointee will be based at the University campus in Shenzhen, PRC.
