Percolation for the Finitary Random Interlacements

In this study, we prove a phase transition in the connectivity of Finitary Random interlacements $\mathcal{FI}^{u,T}$ in $\mathbf{Z}^d$, with respect to the average stopping time. For each $u>0$, with probability one $\mathcal{FI}^{u,T}$ has no infinite connected component for all sufficiently small $T>0$, and a unique infinite connected component for all sufficiently large \$T. Joint work with Eviatar B. Procaccia and Jiayan Ye.

Dr. Yuan Zhang is now an assistant professor at the School of Mathematical Sciences, Peking University since 2018. He was a visiting assistant professor earlier in Texas A&M University for two years. He received his PhD at Duke University, US, in the year of 2015. Ahead of it, he got his Bachelor's degree from Peking University in 2010. His research is primarily on random geometry and interacting particle systems. He has published five representative academic papers since 2014.
