Research Associate (Finance) - School of Management and Economics (Ref. 2024/081/02)
Post Specification
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Providing research assistance to faculties, including but not limited to data collection and processing, empirical analysis, literature review, assistance in research grant applications, etc.;
2. Providing teaching assistance to faculties, including but not limited to exam/assignment grading, holding tutorial and office hours, preparation of teaching materials, student consultation/supervision, etc.;
3. Providing administrative support for other academic activities, such as forums, conferences, lectures, symposiums, etc.;
4. Undertaking other assignments assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. A bachelor’s degree, preferably a higher degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or other related fields;
2. Outstanding teaching and communication skills;
3. Proficiency in English writing and oral communication;
4. Ability to work independently, as well as teamworking/collaboration skills;
5. Strong sense of responsibility;
6. Proficiency in programming/statistical software/languages such as Stata, SAS, Python, R, Matlab, etc. is preferable
7. Qualifications such as CFA, FRM would be a plus.
Salary and Benefits
Salary will be competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointments will be made under the establishment of CUHK-SZ and statutory benefits will be provided according to the prevailing labor laws applicable in the PRC. The appointee will be based at the University campus in Shenzhen, PRC.
